The Elephant and the Lions
November 2005 Shared December 2007In
this dream I was only an observer. I saw a great circle of debris
made up of familiar household objects such as the door of an oven
with it’s thick glass window. Inside the circle was an elephant
with a short chain attached to one leg and fastened to a stake in the
ground, limiting it’s movement. Around the elephant were lions with
long chains attached to collars about their necks. The lions were
vicious and in a blood lust, attacking the elephant and anything else
within reach. One lion was attempting to break free of the circle of
debris and attack whatever was outside but was restrained by it’s
chain upon which the elephant stood, holding the lion back. I saw
lions attempting to attack the elephant as it stood on the end of the
it’s chain.
Suddenly a lion rushed around the edge of the
circle and jumped upon the elephant standing on the chain and
attacked it as others joined in. The whole circle was filled with the
intense battle between the lions wanting to break free and the
elephant which was limited in it’s movement by the short chain to
the stake. The intensity of the battle was frightening. Such was the
ferocity of the lion’s attack that the elephant standing on the
chain was knocked to the ground as other lions jumped upon it. With
this the dream ended.
Meaning of this dream
As
to the meaning of this dream, it was a long time before God made all
of it clear to me, yet it was just another way of showing me the
future. It’s meaning parallels what God had shown me about the
future following 9/11. The pile of debris is the collapsed society of
the western nations with all their focus on the things of the world.
The elephant and the lions represent the two great powers of the
jungle, the lion in it’s ferocity and violence and the elephant
with it’s power and strength.
The elephant is the power of
the western nations, especially the United States. It's chain is the
adherence to the ideas of democracy, political correctness, free
markets and unlimited inclusion. With the chain hobbling it’s
movement, it becomes prey for the more nimble lions. The lions
represent the forces of radical Islam. Uncontrolled in nature, an
irresistible force in a pack. It is this force with which God will
bring the western nations to their knees and threaten the peace and
security of the world. The chains of the lions are the temporary
constraints by the western nations trying to control this force.
However, they will be overcome by the nimbleness and violence of the
radical Muslims.
This is in the same nature of the visions that I was given concerning world events following 9/11, as God intends to shake the people of the earth to the core. This will set the stage for the release of the two witnesses to take His word to the whole world and all those who have been predestined to be called (Rev 11:1-4).
